On this page of Desperados 3 game guide you can find the third part of our walkthrough of Mission 6 - The Bridge at Eagle Falls. Our description explains how to obtain dynamite in the quarry - you will learn how to reach the quarry and how to deal with opponents patrolling the quarry.
Our walkthrough of Mission 6 contains references to the map in the world atlas, which can be found on the first page of this chapter. For example, the marking (M6, 7) indicates that you should find the blue point no. 7 on the map of mission 6.
You can also acquire the dynamite in another way - take a look at Option 1 - Find the dynamite at the shooting range. You need to get the dynamite in one of these two locations. Thus, you don't have to visit both areas.
Reaching the quarry
Your first task is head towards the quarry (M6,2). First, your heroes must reach the logging area (M6,14). This is a very large area and it can definitely make it easier for your team members to sneak around. Remember, however, that collapsed trees and tree trunks do not provide a complete cover and you still need to move in a crouched position.
Kate doesn't have to sneak around in this location (while wearing a disguise) because there are no Long Coat enemies in this area. You can use her to distract individual guards. This will make it easier to eliminate those enemies who are watching each other. There is a path leading to the quarry, but getting rid of the enemies guarding it will be troublesome.
As you wipe out all enemies in the large logging area watch out for the second enemy sniper who observes that location from the nearby watchtower (M6,15). It's best to get rid of him in advance by using McCoy's Colt Buntline Special.
Getting rid of the sniper opens up new opportunities for you. Below the tower there is a path to the quarry. In addition, you can push a mining cart over a group of 3 opponents and it will be treated as an accident.
The last and third path to the area with dynamite is located in the side part of the quarry (M6,16). This is another large location, so getting rid of opponents shouldn't be too demanding, especially if you start using Kate's ability to flirt and distract opponents.
If you're going to choose this passageway to the quarry, then try to lure away some enemies out of the area in which the dynamite is being stored. This will make it easier for you to take care of the mission's main objective.
Acquiring the dynamite in the quarry
Regardless of the chosen path to the quarry, your first task should be to eliminate 2 snipers occupying the scaffolding above the area where the main mining works are being carried out (M6, 17).
Snipers are watching each other and as a result you can't eliminate them one at a time. Use a combined attack in the Showdown Mode - McCoy shoots sniper 1 and Cooper kills sniper 2 at the same time. In order to make it work you have to sneak on one of the snipers while playing as Cooper.
In the main section of the quarry (M6,2) you should use Kate's ability to distract and draw away individual opponents from the main area and eliminate them once they reach the bushes or one of the side paths.
Kate can also encourage enemies in a poncho to turn towards the direction of your choice. During all of these operations, avoid Long Coat - perform all tasks and actions when Long Coat is inside the cabin or stands by the rocks.
After murdering a Long Coat enemy (and at least 2 enemy workers), the detonator highlighted in the screenshot above can help you a lot. Get rid of all enemies that look toward the detonator. Also, wait until Long Coat reaches the rocks. Only then use the detonator to cause an explosion and kill your enemies in an accident.
After the situation calms down (the explosion will be considered as an accident), McCoy should reach the cabin. Use the lockpicking ability. Now you can collect the dynamite and take it to the bridge (M6,19).
