Last update: 22 February 2021

Most opponents encountered in Desperados III are vulnerable to distractions - Desperados 3: Enemy - why does he not leave the post? - FAQ - Desperados 3 Guide

Most opponents encountered in Desperados III are "vulnerable" to distractions. You can lure them to different places by using the characters' gadgets and skills. These include, for example, McCoy's medical bag and Hector's ability to whistle. A "standard" opponent can leave the post thanks to these skills and go, for example, to the object that got their attention or follow the sounds.

However, "Elite" enemies don't leave their posts or places where they perform some work. One of the most important examples is the opponents in a poncho, which appear for the first time in the second mission. The elite opponent will remain in the same place, even if they hear a whistle or if the medical bag appears in their field of vision.

How to deal with opponents who dont move - Desperados 3: Enemy - why does he not leave the post? - FAQ - Desperados 3 Guide

How to deal with opponents who don't move?

  1. Use the fact that you can still focus the attention of an elite opponent on a specific part of the map. This can allow you to quickly make your way through an area that has been observed by them.
  2. Eliminate ordinary enemies first since can be easily lured to secluded places. Once there are "only" elite enemies left in the area, it will be easier for you to approach them from the side or behind to kill or stun them.
  3. If necessary, use Showdown Mode to make your team work together. This is especially useful when two elite enemies are watching each other, and attacking only one of them will raise the alarm.
