As you explore the world in Jedi Survivor , you may encounter ceiling cannons that fire a barrage of blaster fire that makes it impossible to continue. On this page we show how and when you receive the ability to destroy such cannons.
Cannons as obstacles in the world
Ceiling cannons are one of the obstacles encountered in the game world. You will start encountering them starting from your first visit to Koboh.
The cannons fire constantly, creating a barrage that makes it impossible to continue. You can block the projectiles with your lightsaber, but you cannot send them back at the cannons or use ranged attacks (they have a protective force field). Initially, therefore, you cannot explore certain locations that are protected by cannons e..g. in order to get nearby finds.
Destroying cannons
To have an easier time with the cannons, you need to progress enough in the main story. During one of your visits to Koboh you will be given the task of rescuing Zee. At one point in this mission Cal will suddenly be attacked by 2 turrets.
A flashback will ensue that reminds Cal how to use the Force to deal with such obstacles.
You must use Force Slam on the cannons - after approaching a cannon and facing it directly, a combination of buttons should appear on the screen (R1 + X / RB +A on gamepad). When activated, the hero will use Force to rip the cannon from the ceiling, and it will explode when contacted the floor.
