Appearance of scavenger droids
Scavenger droids are small red machines. Their default reaction is not to attack Cal, but to flee. You should always prevent them from doing so, because each scavenger droid stores a unique piece of loot.
Destroying the droid and acquiring the loot
Take advantage of the fact that the scavenger droid doesn't notice Cal at first and sneak up on it from the side or from behind.
After you get close enough to the scavenger droid, throw your lightsaber at it. If the droid has started running away, run after it and perform quick attacks with your lightsaber.
Do not try to use the Force or other attacks that do not inflict physical damage. The scavenger droid can then burrow underground and reaching it will become impossible. In such a case you can, for example, use fast travel to reload the region and try again.
Scavenger droids leave behind different collectibles. This means that eliminating these machines is always required to achieve a 100 percent completion status for a given location.
