Previous appearance of Darth Vader in Jedi Fallen Order
In Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, Darth Vader was not a full-fledged boss with a long and challenging battle.
Darth Vader appeared after defeating the Second Sister in the finale of Chapter 6. Cal Kestis did not stand a chance against the powerful Sith, and the duel ended with the main character escaping.
10 years after executing Order 66, Cal Kestis and his companions are still traveling the galaxy, hiding from the ever-present Empire. Unfortunately, their ship crashes on Koboh, a desert planet with a rocky landscape. The question is - can Cal and Vader cross lightsabers again in Jedi Survivor?
Darth Vader in Jedi Survivor
The good news is that you have a full-fledged boss fight with Vader in Jedi Survivor.
At one point in the story, Darth Vader will receive information from an Empire spy about the location of Cere's base on Jedha. The Empire's invasion of Jedha will occur and Vader himself will also appear.
The circumstances of the duel with Darth Vader are not very obvious. Instead of Cal, Darth Vader is confronted by Cere, his mentor known from Jedi Fallen Order. You will play as Cere during this fight. Cere will return to the Archives at the base on Jedha - this is where you will face the Sith Lord.
The duel with Vader consists of 3 phases - we discussed them in detail in the Bosses chapter.
You have to deplete Vader's entire red health bar, but the fight will not end in total victory. Darth Vader will only be weakened and his armor partially damaged. After the battle, he will leave the base on Jedha. So it is not out of the question that the famous antagonist will return once again in the next installment of the Star Wars Jedi series, and that Cal Kestis will want to take personal revenge on him.
