This page of the Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart guide has the final third part of the Viceron and Zordoom Prison walkthrough. Our guide describes how to complete the cell chase scene with Ratchet and Kit and to win the boss battle with the Royal Guard Escorts.
Don't lose Ratchet
You will receive the mission objective after you sabotage the reactor in prison and return to the room with the reactor. Rivet has to cross the reactor room, which involves attacking enemies and pulling to the gaps. You don't have to kill 100% of the enemies, but there is also no time limit, so you don't have to rush.
Ultimately, you must reach the control console shown in the picture. Using it will disable the energy barrier and allow you to move further north.
Defeat the enemies that were on the other side of the barrier and approach the cell. You will enter the most heavily guarded section - the Maximum Security. After the service elevator reaches the new level, use your white weapon to hit the big buttons on the sides.
As the cage starts moving, the chase scene will begin. Use the Hoverboots and the acceleration option (L2 and R2) during the chase. You can ignore the enemies you pass along the way, although colliding with smaller enemies will eliminate them. Remember to hover over the pressure plates with arrows, which will further accelerate Rivet. At some point, you will have to pull yourself to the gap.
During the chase, you will pass through a room with a Backup Generator and reach the northern part of the map. You have to grab onto the grappling and use the Hurlshot (hold L1) to catapult the Rivet far north.
Survive to save Ratchet and Kit
You will reach an area with Emergency Evacuation Platforms surrounded by water. You will have to avoid falling off large metal platforms into the water, as swimming is not allowed at the battle site.
Initially, you will engage in a longer battle with standard opponents. It may be more challenging than you expect, and that is because there will be many enemies involved in the battles. We strongly recommend using gadgets that allow you to summon your own allies to the battlefield - Bombardier, Mr. Fungi and Glove of Doom. This will make it easier for you to deal with enemies and, most importantly, will distract some enemies from Rivet.
During fights, look especially for those opponents who are able to launch strong ranged attacks, such as sniperbots. It is worth eliminating these types of enemies first.
Boss Battle - Royal Guard Escorts
After the Royal Guard Escorts appears, focus on attacking flying enemy machines. Take advantage of the fact that bosses do not suddenly change their position, so you can effectively attack them using the best weapons you have (e.g. Warmonger or Negatron Collider). Bosses should be attacked one at a time if possible.
Avoiding Royal Guard Escorts attacks should not be very difficult, as there are no special types of strikes here - they are ordinary, though quite powerful missiles. Help yourself with running around and using Hoverboot. Use Phantom Dash if necessary.
Try to position yourself so that you don't have the bosses behind you, because you won't be able to follow their movements effectively.
The battle area is quite vast, so you can (and should) move around a lot. Rifts are also available here, that can be used to swiftly move around the area. Look around for crates to replenish your ammo and health supplies during the battle.
Defeating the Royal Guard Escorts airship will end the battle, and you can now use the crank to free your friends.
After the cut-scenes, you will automatically move to Scarstu Debris Field.
