Unlocking the boss fight
The confrontation with the Crabcakes McGee boss is one of the three Pirate Trials you must undertake after reaching the northwestern part of the map on the Ardolis planet.
You will reach a larger cavern, where you must first deal with several groups of ordinary pirates. During battles it is a good idea to grab onto levitating hooks to reach other ships faster. Before the boss arrives, you can also summon your own allies (Mr. Fungi, Glove of Doom) to help you in the battles.
Crabcakes McGee will spawn on the central island.
Course of the battle
Don't count on the boss to stay on the middle island at all times, as it is capable of making long jumps. As in the case of previous battles with large mechanical opponents, move away from the areas where the opponent intends to land. You can help yourself with Phantom Dash, Hoverboot or by grabbing nearby hooks.
Crabcakes McGee is equipped with a grenade launcher. Try to avoid the projectiles and mines in flight and quickly move away from areas where they will hit the ground.
Run around the central island. You can also return to the area with ships from time to time.
You will find ammo and health crates on the island - smash them when needed. Defeating the boss will also complete the Third Pirate Trial.
