This page in our guide to Rage 2 contains a detailed walkthrough for Ground Control mission. This is one of the main missions unlocked during the prologue. Your objective is to find Dr. Anton Kvasir. Later, you will visit a space center and defeat Cyber Crusher, one of the bosses.

Unlocking the mission
This is one of the four quests in the prologue, called The Ranger, that start automatically. You receive this mission shortly after visiting the first Ark in Vineland. After completing the Ark and unlocking Dash, go back to the first room with the holo-recording and listen to Erwina Prowley's briefing.
Find Dr. Anton Kvasir
Go to Sekreto Wetlands region. You have to travel to Lagooney town. You can enter it without any problems.
You have to learn Kvasir's whereabouts. Go to the town's center. Mo Rummy is sitting on the chair left of the job board (see the picture above). Speak with the man - you will learn about Kvasir's Laboratory in the swamps.
The laboratory is located in the northern end of Sekreto Wetlands. Only one road leads to that place - you can reach the laboratory from the west. The last part of that road must be completed on foot.
Authority soldiers are fighting Kvasir's turrets. Help the machines defeat the forces of the Authority.
Approach the intercom that looks like a cactus, the one near the bridge. Enter the laboratory. Speak with Anton Kvasir to receive a new objective.
Examine Eden space center
Use the lift again to leave the laboratory. Your new objective is to reach the Eden Space Center. This location is in the opposite end of the map - eastern edge of Broken Tract region.
If you don't want to travel all the way there, use fast travel. You can travel to, e.g. ChazCar Derby: Torn Pains Track and travel to the space center from there.
A rather large group of enemies awaits you near the space center. Only a few of them can be killed with your vehicle. Eliminate the rest on foot. Luckily, they shouldn't be difficult. Find the entrance presented in the picture above.
Find the EcoPod control room
Approach the wide desk in the lobby and interact with the biometric device. Enemies will appear in the lobby. Watch out for those standing on the upper floor - at least one of them will have a rocket launcher. Dash a lot - this move is especially useful in dodging grenades.
After becoming a president, go to the door with another biometric device. Defeat more enemies. The groups you will encounter here aren't numerous. Also, some of the enemies can be attacked by surprise.
Keep moving through the building. At some point, you will get outside - this happens when you enter the destroyed part of the building. You have to reach the door guarded by a large group of enemies. The game gives you a good opportunity to use a surprise attack. Also, use the height advantage.
Open the door leading to the EcoPod control room. Interact with the central computer panel to call the EcoPod from the orbit.
Turn on the supercomputer inside the EcoPod
Once Eco-15 lands on the nearby parking lot, jump out of the window and slide down on the rope (don't jump down, the fall damage will kill you!).
Interact with another biometric device and then use the lift. Once you are on the upper floor, go through the narrow corridor leading to the room with the supercomputer. Interact with yet another biometric device. Go back to the lift.
Defeat Cyber Crusher and Authority forces
Your new objective is to defeat Cyber Crusher and the Authority forces accompanying the boss. The fight will start shortly after you reach the bottom. The boss's health bar is displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. This health bar will change depending on the current phase (more about that below).
We recommend eliminating the regular enemies first. You can do that fast by using, e.g. Shatter skill. If you kill them now, they won't cause you problems later.
This boss fight consists of two parts. The first part has two phases activating alternately. In the first phase, you have to aim at the blue spot on the boss's chest. This will weaken him gradually. Attack the boss with any weapon that works at a medium distance.
In the second phase, you have to run towards the stunned boss and attack the blue tanks on his back. You don't have to keep attacking the same tank until it is destroyed. Attack the one that is the easiest target to shoot.
Don't focus on attacking only the Cyber Crusher. Watch out for his attacks:
- Cyber Crusher can attack you with his arm. The best way to avoid damage is to jump backward.
- The boss can shoot you with the laser on his head. You can either dodge it or perform a double jump (Grav-Jump skill).
The second part of the fight starts when the boss loses part of his armor. Cyber Crusher's energy bar will change into a "classic" health bar. This part is very easy. Attack the boss's unprotected head - this is his weak spot.
Defeat Cyber Crusher to receive Neuronic Interface, one of the items that allow you to increase your character's stats at the cyber doctor in Wellspring.
Listen to the radio conversation with Kvasir. You unlock Dr. Kvasir's projects. Spend at least a part of your project points on some of these perks.
