In Rage 2, you can use 8 types of weapon - each of them can be improved. You get all of them by completing Arks. They are located in different parts of the world. To make your first hours in Rage 2 easier, we've prepared a page with the best weapons available in the game. From this page you will learn what weapons you can use, where to get them and how they can be improved.
Ranger Assault Rifle
You receive this rifle after completing the prologue. This means that it will be available from the very beginning of the game. Your task is to constantly improve it to make it even more deadly.
Ranger Assault Rifle has the following upgrades:
Magazine capacity - increases magazine capacity.
Speedy reload - increases reload speed.
Holstered reload - if the weapon is holstered, it is reloaded automatically.
Rapid fire - increases the rate of fire.
Armor breaker rounds - increases the damage dealt to armor.
Weapon mastery - bullets that killed an enemy will return to your magazine.
Firestorm Revolver
Firestorm Revolver is in the Dank Catacomb Ark. This place is located in the northern part of Sekreto Wetlands. The is location has level 7 difficulty.
Firestorm Revolver can be improved in the following way:
Magazine capacity - increases magazine capacity.
Speedy reload - increases reload speed.
Explosing range - increases the explosion radius of the bullets.
Seekers - bullets target enemies independently.
Rapid fire - increases the rate of fire.
Weapon mastery - targets set on fire burn for a longer period of time.
Combat Shotgun
You get Combat Shotgun by completing Blackout story mission. This is one of the four main missions unlocked during the prologue.
During this mission, you will reach one of the Arks. Use Focus to open it. After entering the Ark, go to its center and take the Combat Shotgun.
Combat Shotgun has the following improvements:
Magazine capacity - increases magazine capacity.
Speedy reload - increases reload speed.
Armor breaker shot - increases damage done to armors.
Far shot - increases the range of fire.
Rapid fire - increases the rate of fire.
Weapon mastery - the closer you stand the enemy, the more damage you deal.
Smart Rocket Launcher
Smart Rocket Launcher is in Strongbox Ark. This location is in the central part of Torn Plains region. The is location has level 4 difficulty.
Smart Rocket Launcher has the following improvements:
Multi-targeting - increases weapon targeting.
Fast reload - increases reload speed.
Quick lock - instantly targets opponents.
Magazine capacity - increases the magazine capacity by 3 additional rounds.
Multi targeting - you can simultaneously shoot 3 opponents.
Weapon mastery - you can detonate your rocket.
