Combat Shotgun | Weapons in Rage 2 Rage 2 Guide and Walkthrough

On this page of our guide to Rage 2, we'll show you how to unlock the Combat Shotgun. This is a very good weapon to fight at a short distance - try to get it as soon as you start the game. Unlocking the gun is part of one of the main missions.

To get a Combat Shotgun, you have to start the Blackout story mission - Combat Shotgun | Weapons in Rage 2 - Weapons - Rage 2 Guide

To get a Combat Shotgun, you have to start the Blackout story mission. This is one of the four main missions unlocked during the prologue.

During Blackout mission, you will visit Gunbarrel town. It is located in the Broken Track region. Upon arrival, you need to talk to the guard - your character will be able to enter the city right away.

Focus on the Blackout mission - the full walkthrough for that mission can be found in a separate section of our guide. You have to meet John Marshall at the bar - you are ordered to go to the sewers located beneath the town. Go to the elevator that will take you to the sewers.

During the exploration of that place, you will reach the Ark presented in the picture. Use Focus to open it.

After entering the Ark, go to the central post and take the Combat Shotgun.

The game will immediately show you a tutorial on how to use this weapon. You will learn how to use regular attacks, Slug Shot (shots that knock enemies down) and see how the shotgun works when you activate Overdrive.

From now on, you can buy upgrades for the shotgun and install modifications.
