General information
Gorou is a 4-star hero of Geo element fighting with a bow. This is a great character for the role of Support, but mainly for teams that are almost or all Geo.
When building Gorou, focus on reaching highest possible Energy Recharge, 200% at minimum.
Best team compositions
- Geo Sub DPS - Itto / Gorou / Albedo / Diona
- Geo Sub DPS - Noelle / Gorou / Albedo / Fischl
Geo Support Build
Gorou is perfect for all-Geo teams, as the whole party receives benefits from his skills, such as improved Geo DMG, resistance to interruption and improved DEF (provided you have 3 Geo heroes in the party).
- Artifacts - 4x Husk of Opulent Dreams / 2x Emblem of Severed Fate 2x The Exile
- Weapons - Elegy of the End / Favonius Warbow / Sacrificial Bow
Since Gorou is easily made more powerful with additional DEF added, first recommended artifact pick will be 4x Husk of Opulent Dreams. 2-piece bonus results in +30% DEF, and 4-piece bonus means a special effect - Curosity. You can receive 1 stack of it after dealing damage with Geo, and this effect can occur every 0.3 seconds. If Itto is away from the field, one stack is gained every 3 seconds. You can stack the effect up to 4 times. Each stack guarantees 6% DEF and 6% Geo DMG Bonus. If six seconds elapse without adding a new stack, one of active stacks will disappear.
Alternatively, you can also employ 2 pairs of different artifacts - namely 2x Emblem of Severed Fate, 2x The Exile. With this setup, your Energy Recharge is increased by 40%.
When it comes to weapons, 5-star bow Elegy of the End comes the most recommended. With it, you receive additional Energy Recharge that scales with the weapon level. Another bonus is 60 Elemental Mastery points. Finally, when Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst strikes an enemy, you receive Sigil of Remembrance. This effect can occur even when the owner of the bow is away from the field. After stacking 4 times, Elemental Mastery of all party members will be increased by 100 and ATK by 20% for 12 seconds.
The second recommended weapon pick comes in form of Sacrificial Bow. In addition to Energy Recharge bonus, after using Elemental Skill that successfully hits the opponent, you'll have a 40% chance of reducing the cooldown on this ability to 0, allowing you to use it once again. This is very useful for Diona and other characters.
The final weapon we recommend is Favonius Warbow. This bow, similarly to previous ones, provides a bonus to Energy Recharge. Moreover, critical hits have a 60% chance of spawning an Elemental Orb that after picking up gives 6 additional Energy. This effect may occur once every 12 seconds.
Talents
Talents are special abilities divided into Combat and Passive categories. In Gorou's case, you should focus on following talents in this order:
- Geo Support - Inuzaka All-Round Defense, Juuga: Forward Unto Victory, Ripping Fang Fletching
Constellations
In case of Gorou, he becomes a worthwhile investment once you get him to C4. Mainly because with C4, Gorou can heal an active hero on the battlefield by 50% of his own DEF.
