Cameras are present in every mission in Hitman 2. They have two purposes: if you commit any wicked act while being visible on the camera, an alarm can be activated and guards will be called to this location. Second: if you have been seen on the camera many times, this has a slight effect on the final score of the mission and the special challenges.

Deleting them not only erases all recordings that contain your actions, but also disables the whole system until the end of the game. So it is worthwhile to take care of deleting the camera records relatively early.
2. As a rule, at least one place with a recording room is located somewhere in the vicinity of the main headquarters and guard booths.
