Hitman 2: Base Game Trophies/Achievements - list Hitman 2 Guide, Walkthrough

This page in our guide to Hitman 2 contains the list of all achievements/trophies found in the Base Game. These trophies/achievements are related to the two training missions - Freeform Training and The Final Test. Every trophy/achievement contains the description and our commentary on how to unlock them.
You can get these trophies/achievements even when you don't have the Legacy Pack (the content of the first game) currently installed. Training stages are available from the beginning of Hitman 2. Also, trophies/achievements that don't have specific requirements (i.e. Tools of the Trade) can also be unlocked in the main episodes (i.e. the level in Miami).

The Result of Previous Training
How to unlock: Complete "Freeform Training" in the prologue.
Commentary: You unlock this trophy/achievement regardless of how you kill Kalvin Ritter in Freeform Training.
Cleared for Field Duty
How to unlock: Complete "The Final Test" in the prologue.
Commentary: You unlock this trophy/achievement regardless of how you kill Jasper Knight in The Final Test.
Seizing the Opportunity
How to unlock: Complete any Mission Story in The Final Test.
Commentary: This achievement/trophy is related to Opportunities, unique situations that allow you to assassinate your target in various ways. The Opportunities in the second training mission allow you to, i.e. to eject Knight from a jet fighter or to use poison. Choose one of the Opportunities and complete it.
The Creative Assassin
How to unlock: Complete the Contract Creation Tutorial.
Commentary: The tutorial provides you with basic information on how to create contracts. Follow the instructions - after that, you will know everything about the options available in the Contract Creation tool.
Unexpected Guest
How to unlock: Disguise yourself as Mr. Norfolk and assassinate Kalvin Ritter.
Commentary: You can disguise yourself as Mr. Norfolk during "The Freeform Training". You can recognize this person by his white suit. He usually stands next to his car near the starting location (the picture above). Check our guide for Hitman 1 to learn more details on how to take this man's identity.
K-36D
How to unlock: Assassinate Jasper Knight with a sabotaged ejector seat.
Commentary: This achievement/trophy is available in "The Final Test" mission. The fighter jet is in the hangar - complete all actions that will damage the vehicle and lead Jasper Knight to it. The achievement/trophy is unlocked once you eject the target (see the picture above). Check our guide for Hitman 1 to learn more details on how to sabotage the jet.
Defection Deterred
How to unlock: Arrange matters so that the KGB Colonel eliminates Jasper Knight.
Commentary: This achievement/trophy is available in "The Final Test" mission. Bring the filmstrip to the projector. Deactivate the device. Thanks to that, Knight will die in an accident when the KGB officer restores the power supply (see the picture above). Check our guide for Hitman 1 to learn more details on this assassination.
Silent Assassin
How to unlock: Complete "The Final Test" unspotted. Kill only Jasper Knight, ensuring his body is not found.
Commentary: This trophy/achievement requires you to obtain Silent Assassin rank. The only way to get it is to complete the mission unspotted, kill only Knight and don't let anyone find his body.
You can eliminate other NPCs (i.e. in order to get a new costume) but only by making them lose consciousness. You also have to always hide their bodies. As for assassinating Knight, you can kill him, i.e. by putting poison into his drink - after that, you can eliminate him in the toilet. Security Defeated
How to unlock: Arrange matters so that a guard finds a discarded weapon and moves it into the hangar.
Commentary: This achievement/trophy is available in "The Final Test" mission. Reach the western outpost right after you start the mission, and eliminate the airport security employee. Hide his body, BUT you have to leave his weapon on the floor. Soon, one of the Soviet soldiers will appear (see the picture above). Let him pick up the weapon and carry it into the hangar.
Chameleon
How to unlock: Change your disguise during "The Final Test".
Commentary: A very simple achievement/trophy. Attack and either knock out or kill any of the NPCs on the airport (i.e. a security employee, a mechanic or a soldier), and wear their clothes.
Training Escalated
How to unlock: Complete Level 5 of an Escalation Contract set in the ICA Facility.
Commentary: Escalations pit Agent 47 against assassination challenges with increasing complexity.
Contract Assassin
How to unlock: Complete 10 Contracts.
Commentary: Select the Contracts tab in the main menu. Choose contracts suggested by the game or look for those that interest you the most.
Note - You have to complete 10 different contracts. You won't get this trophy/achievement by completing the same contract 10 times.
Top of the Class
How to unlock: Set the high score on a Contract.
Commentary: The easiest way to do that is to create a contract yourself. After that, you have to get a low score (i.e. the mission took you too long, or you triggered an alarm). Replay your contract and complete it with a better score.
A New Profile
How to unlock: Complete a Featured Contract.
Commentary: Featured Contracts are contracts selected by the game's developers. They change over time - wait for a new contract if you have problems with the current one.
Shhh
How to unlock: Pacify any individual.
Commentary: The easiest achievement/trophy in the game. The easiest way to get it is during first training mission - one of the objectives is to pacify the mechanic. You can also attack any person in one of the episodes.
Tools of the Trade
How to unlock: Assassinate Targets with Ballistic, Accident and Explosion Kills.
Commentary: Choose any of the available missions (it doesn't have to be a training mission, you can choose any of the main episodes) and play it a few times. Change your assassination method with each playthrough. To get an Explosion Kill you can use your explosives or destroy explosive objects in the environment.
Unseen Assassin
How to unlock: Assassinate a Target without getting spotted.
Commentary: A simple achievement/ trophy - you can unlock it during the first training mission. Avoid those enemies who can recognize Agent 47 even when he is using a disguise.
