Initiating the quest
- Region: Cinnabar Sands
- Level: 17
Talk to the group of people by the stairs in the Plainsong settlement, near the outfit merchant.
Go to the Base of the Promontory
Head to the designated place northeast of the Plainsong.
Kill the Machines
When you get there, kill all the machines. Skydrifters are susceptible to ice damage, Grazers to shock damage.
Investigate the Bridge and Examine the Footprints
Follow the marker to the destroyed bridge and cross it to the other side of the river. Then examine the footprints on the ground near the bridge.
Go to the Promontory
Go the path on the left. Follow the path by the rock until you reach the waterfall. Investigate the debris at the waterfall and scan the area. Then jump up, pull yourself to the grapple and start climbing up. Enter the small tunnel where the water comes out and follow the lanterns.
When you exit the tunnel, cross the wooden bridge and follow the path upwards. Examine the boards lying on the ground and turn left. When you reach the rock ledge, look up and pull yourself to the grapple. Climb up the rock to the very top.
Cross the wooden bridge, scan the area and climb the rock wall to the Promontory.
Examine the Stone Table
Walk up to the stone table and examine it.
Investigate the Promontory
Activate focus and examine the yellow flowers near the small cave.
Scan for the Dye Trail
Activate the focus again and select found trails.
Follow the Dye Trail and Examine the Broken Branches
Follow the trail to nearby bushes and examine the broken branches
Follow the Drag Trail
Activate focus, mark the trails you found, and walk down to the sandy clearing.
Examine the Corpses
Examine the corpses of two women lying on the ground.
Kill the Stalkers
As you examine the corpse, a Stalker will appear. Quickly crouch down and hide in the tall grass. The stalker uses camouflage making him completely invisible. Wait for the machine to pass by you, and when the notification appears on the screen, perform a Silent Strike to take as many health points as possible. Then kill the machine using a weapon that deals shock damage.
Watch out for bombs scattered by the Stalker and kill any machines approaching the corpse.
Gather the Killer's Seed Pouch
Return to the young woman's corpse and take her seeds.
Return to Bree
Go back to Plainsong and talk to Bree.
Go to Summerwind
Head to Kel's house behind the southern fields of the Plainsong settlement.
Find Kel and Talk to Kel
Climb the wooden boards to the very top and talk to Kel.
