This page of the Horizon Forbidden West game guide provides the location of the Tallneck in the Landfall region. This is a special activity that reveals a sizable portion of the map. However, it is worth remembering that it only shows the terrain and does not unlock individual activities. This means they'll fill your map with question marks you'll have to discover on your own.

Location
The Landfall Tallneck is located on an island and to access it, you need to complete the Faro's Tomb main quest. You can't get there by just swimming. You must use the boat you receive during the quest.
Investigating the Tallneck
At the start of the quest, you need to scan the Tallneck. Start with the top plate.
Then head inside and investigate the two empty spaces. Aloy will immediately discover that the Tallneck is missing parts which are necessary for it to function.
Collecting the parts
After scanning the Tallneck, you will need to collect the two parts. It's not difficult. Simply climb the ruins, push the crate into the water, and shoot down the blockade on the ladder. Then jump on it and climb to the top.
The next step is to walk on the yellow rope to the other side (there is no other way there). You most likely won't fall off as long as you don't make any sudden movements.
Next, turn to the right. Jump over to the final section of the ruins and search through the pile of items. You will find one of the parts you need here.
Afterwards, jump into the water and swim to the next ruins. Reach their very end, where you will find a yellow element that will allow you to jump to a higher floor.
You may come across an opponent in this area. The best way to eliminate them effectively is to aim straight for their weak spot, the stomach.
Once you have safely reached the top, it's time to search the next pile of items. There you will find the second required part.
Assembling the parts
Go back to the Tallneck (however you want) and place the two necessary parts in it. It's not difficult. All you have to do is head inside in and click the corresponding button (Triangle on the PS).
The jump
You can reach the top of this Tallneck from several spots. However, we recommend the location marked above. From there, you can easily jump on the Tallneck.
You only need to make one confident jump once the mechanical animal is near you. Then climb to its top to complete this activity.
Once you're at the top, finish the activity. This will allow you to see a good portion of the island uncovered on the map. You will be able to see a black box, ruins, but also a lot of question marks, which you will need to reach on your own.
