PS5 upgrade
Despite Horizon Forbidden West hitting the market more than a year after the PS5's release, it will also be released on the PS4. This means that if you purchase the PS4 version then you can make a free upgrade to the current generation console.
You won't have to pay $10.
Differences between PS4 and PS5 versions
In terms of content, both versions are the same. None of the consoles have quests or mechanics unique to it. The differences between Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 and PS4 are purely technical.
The PS5 version includes the following improvements:
- improved graphics quality;
- reduced loading times;
- use of DualSense controller haptics;
- Two visual modes: performance (60 frames per second) and quality (full 4K and lower FPS)
