On this page of the guide to Horizon 2 Forbidden West you'll learn whether the game contains any important choices which can change the course of the main storyline and influence the ending.
Progressing through Horizon Forbidden West you'll often encounter NPCs you'll need to converse with. Some conversations are interactive and let you choose your dialogue option. These can be divided into three main groups:
- Options letting you ask some additional questions or address additional topics. Choosing them is completely optional.
- An option letting you progress with the conversation or finish it - marked with a special icon.
- Options letting you postpone a decision (such as setting off with a companion to another area) or to immediately proceed. These can be helpful if you want to prepare yourself for an upcoming battle.
Even though the game features extensive dialogue, it doesn't contain any important choices which significantly influence the story. The main plot always follows an already defined course. The only non-linear element is the possibility of choosing the order of completing quests from time to time, such as when you must examine three different areas to progress.
During some conversations with important characters you may encounter dialogue options tied to Aloy's emotional state. You can choose personal and empathetic replies or cold and pragmatic ones. Your reaction influences how the conversation with the NPCs goes, but it doesn't have any meaningful consequences and so you shouldn't think too hard about it.
