This mission offers 3 rewards:

1. A small bonus to your Legend (XP).
2. Minor Defence Charm.

Unlocking the quest

You can start this quest by going near the Cloud Forest Temple located in the southern part of the Iki island. Look for Ito and talk to her.

Survey the temple grounds

Reach the hill adjacent to the main temple area and start the survey. Examine the caretakers from the lower tents, the Mongolian supplies to the right of the large building, and Zenshin the monk standing in front of the building.

Learn more about the caretakers

Jin will temporarily change clothes. You have to do a little investigation. Simply question various characters in the temple.

Talk to the warden standing in front of one of the buildings nearby.

Take the path that leads to the huts in the lower part of the temple. Talk to Okami - the woman from the camp.

Finally, talk to the peasant guarding a hut shown in the attached picture.

Find out what happened to the missing villagers

Go to the right of the place where the villager guards the entrance to the hut. In the place presented in the picture, you can eavesdrop on the people inside the hut. You learn that they are imprisoned.

Rest until the caretakers fall asleep

Go back to the top of the temple and talk to the people sitting around the fire. Join them to speed up the time.

Rescue the kidnapped villagers

Jin got his armor back. Head back to the lower part of the temple and enter the unguarded hut with the prisoners. Talk to them.

Be careful - a single Mongol will appear. Eliminate him quickly with a stealth attack.

Try to stick to the shadows. One of the opponents is guarding the exit from the building. You can perform a sneak attack on him through the door without raising the alarm.

Head towards the other person who can be saved - avoid detection (but you can use stealth takedowns). You need to save Ito. However, you can do it only after getting rid of the nearby Mongols (e.g. through sliding doors).

The next person to save is Toukichi. This is very simple - sneak up behind the Mongol guarding the man and stab him in the back.

Clear the Mongols from the temple grounds

There are several other Mongols in the temple. You are free to choose how to eliminate them. You can use focused hearing to locate enemies.

Enter the temple

Head for the main temple building, but watch out for the Mongols inside. You can get rid of them in a direct confrontation or retreat and, for example, use a bow or bombs.

Confront Zenshin the monk

You don't have to worry that the fight will be challenging - the monk is no threat to you. Simply talk with the monk twice to complete this quest.
