This page of the guide to Ghost of Tsushima explains how to unlock Iki Island from the DLC. You will learn what are the requirements to unlock additional content and how to go to Iki Island.
DLC - how to unlock?
You can unlock the Iki Island DLC if:
- You bought Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut. The DLC is already included in it, so you don't need to buy or download it separately.
- Purchase the update to Director's Cut - this is an option for people who own the original release of Ghost of Tsushima on PS4. The DLC costs 19,99 € / 19,99 $. Note - the upgrade of the whole game to the PS5 version is bought separately. Otherwise, it will remain the PS4 version even if you run it on PlayStation 5.
To play the DLC, you have to get to at least the second Toyotama region from the base game campaign, and thus move to the second act of the campaign started by the main quest New horizon.
- If you start a new game without the old save files (we describes importing saves from PS4 on a separate page of the guide), then you need to complete at least the whole act 1. Keep in mind, however, that Iki Island features various more serious challenges. We highly recommend that you first play through the additional content from the main campaign to further develop Jin and unlock better equipment.
- If you load one of the save files from Act 2 or later in the campaign (preferably the save with the whole base game completed), then the DLC will become available right away.
If you have met the requirements to unlock the DLC, a new Iki Tales tab will automatically appear in your log, and it will contain the first quest Journey Into the Past.
This quest involves investigating suspicious activity in one of the villages in the Toyotama region.
Getting to Iki Island
The first quest of the DLC requires you to search the village and fight the Mongols who came from the Iki island. The complete walkthrough of the Journey Into The Past quest is in a separate section of our guide.
When the fights end, you will find a boat on the shore that will take you to Iki island.
After you talk to the boatman, the game will ask you if you're sure you want to go to the new island. You will have to spend a lot of time on Iki before you can return to Tsushima. It might be a good idea to save the game just before you go to the island, in case the challenges on Iki prove too much for you. This will allow you to retry the island after you have developed Jin sufficiently.
After reaching Iki, you will have to walk down a short, linear path to a vantage point. Since then Iki Island will be available for free exploration.
{ramkaniebieska}We advise you to do the main quest called A Lost Friend as soon as possible, as it will allow you to recover the main character's horse and travel around Iki much more efficiently. Fortunately, the island also features a fast travel option.{\ramkaniebieska}
