This section of the guide to GreedFall has the walkthrough for Theological Conflicts side quest.
Where to start the quest?: After completing Trouble in Eden side quest and Face to Face with the Demon main quest.
Talk to the scientists after they done research and ask them about the progress. Then talk to brother Fidelis and the nearby Naut - ask them for help. You will get an antidote - take it to brother Fidelis.
The man will tell you about the location of the theologists camp. Go to Vedvilvie - a new path has been unlocked there. It will lead you to the camp. Talk to the members of the expedition - some of them want to stay and continue research, others will leave. You will be asked to investigate the case of the missing. Get to the marked points on the map and search the corpses - autopsy requires Science 2, or you can have Siora or someone else with you.
You will find that the members of the expedition were killed and everything was hushed up. Go to brother Virgil and speak with him - the man will plead guilty. You now have several options:
- Tell about everything Virgil has done - you get +2 with Theleme, but you will have to fight brother Virgil. After killing him, talk to his sister Eugenia - you will lose -1 with Theleme. From now on, the woman will entrust you with further tasks related to excavations.
- Tell the man to leave the expedition - you will get 50 gold and + 1 reputation with Theleme after talking to Eugenie.
- Take 100 gold from Virgil - if Siora is in the party, you will lose 1 reputation point with her. After talking to Eugenia, send the woman and her people home. Talk to Virgil again to get + 3 reputations with Theleme. From now on, he will be the one giving you new quests.
Whatever your choice, you will get 1,600 XP and get In the Footsteps of Saint Matheus side quest.
