GreedFall is a vast game that has an equally extensive list of problems and bugs. PC users may have issues with sound, gamepad support, framerate, and saving the game. This section of the Guide to GreedFall contains a list of bugs and ways to solve them.

"Application Load Error 3:0000065432" in GreedFall

If you try to start the game and you see the message saying "Application Load Error 3: 0000065432" go to the folder with the game, right-click on the file GreedFall.exe, select "Properties", then "Compatibility," and tick the "Run this program as administrator" checkbox. After this procedure, the game should work nominally.

The "MFReadWrite.dll was not found" error

If you encounter the "MFReadWrite.dll was not found" error, the solution is simple. You have to go to the site https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/mediafeaturepack, download the Media Feature Pack, and then install it.

The game does not save

According to the players, there are three ways to fix this problem:

1. run game as administrator;
2. go to the "Documents" folder, right click in the GreedFall directory and choose "Properties." The next step is to enter the "Security" tab, click "Edit" and check "Allow" under "Full control";
3. go to settings, to the "Update and security" tab, go to the "Windows Security" section, and then select "Open Windows Defender Security Center."

The game crashes

Again, the same solution - go to the folder with the game, find GreedFall.exe, "Properties," "Compatibility," and check the box "Run this program as administrator."

Framerate problems in GreedFall

If the framerate in GreedFall is too low, you might have outdated drivers of your GPU. Users of Intel GPUs will have to install the Intel Graphics Driver DCH 26.20.100.7158. Thanks to these drivers, you will be able to run the game on UHD Graphics 620 or better.

Another solution that may yield acceptable results would be going to the "Power Options" and selecting "High performance."

Problems with gamepad support

If the game doesn't read the pad correctly, unplug all USB devices apart from mouse, keyboard and the pad, and then reboot the computer.

Sound issues

In GreedFall, there are many known issues with the sound; the game might not properly generate ambient sounds, or dialogs. In such case, you might want to try disable the "Surround sound" option is windows sound settings.
