Below are the full system requirements (minimum and recommended) for the PC version of GreedFall. We have also included tips for improving the game's performance on PC.
The game isn't very demanding, but it can cause problems on some computers. Therefore, we have prepared a detailed description of the graphical options to help you configure them. Hardware requirements and a detailed description of the graphical settings were prepared on the PC version, on a computer with Intel Core i7-7700, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060. This configuration fully met the recommended requirements.
The developers have given two versions of hardware requirements - minimum and recommended. Minimum system requirements provide smooth gameplay in 1080p, 30 fps at low settings. Recommended system requirements will allow you to play the game at high settings in 60 fps. Remember, however, that these are not requirements for the highest graphics settings. It is highly probable that the game will have problems with performance on the highest settings running on a PC that meets the recommended requirements.

The minimum system requirements will allow you to run the game at 1080p resolution, in low details and 30 frames per second. These requirements aren't high - the game at the lowest graphics settings can be played even on older PCs.

The recommended system requirements will allow you to run the game at 1080p resolution, in high details and 60 frames per second. If possible, it is better to play the game at 60 fps - this makes the game more enjoyable and allows the player to make precise movements.
What driver is best for GreedFall?
If you have a graphics card from Intel, you need to install Intel Graphics Driver DCH 26.20.100.7158. Thanks to these drivers, you will be able to run the game on UHD Graphics 620 or better.
GreedFall and 4K resolution
GreedFall can be played in 4K resolution on PC, PS4 Pro and XBOX One X.
Graphic settings in GreedFall
GreedFall offers various graphics options. You can change them during the game or when you are in the main menu.
- Display mode - This setting controls the display mode (full screen, windowed, borderless windowed);
- Resolution - This setting is responsible for the game's resolution. Set the native resolution of your monitor to get a satisfactory image quality. A lower value will blur the image, and a value higher may cause sudden frame drops;
- Screen selection - If you have more than one monitor, this option will allow you to select the one which you want to play on;
- Vertical sync (vsync) - You can turn it on or off;
- Preset - General graphics setting, doesn't affect all the settings, mainly the textures quality;
- Draw distance - Adjusts the view distance;
- Clothes physic - Affects the movement and flow of the fabrics in the game;
- Shadow - Shadow effects, ambient occlusion, etc. If you have a weaker graphics card than specified in the recommended system requirements, we suggest lowering this setting;
- Particles - This option affects individual effects on the screen;
- Texture quality - Select the textures quality;
- Field of vision - Adjusts the field of view;
- Anti-aliasing - A technique that is used to improve the quality of textures located further away from the characters. If the game drops frames when it loads distant objects, try disabling this option.
How to avoid frame drops in GreedFall?
GreedFall can sometimes drop frames even on a PC that is much better than indicated in the recommended system requirements. It is necessary, therefore, to reduce some graphics settings to make the game work at least a little better without losing much on the quality of graphics.
Shadow - The number of objects in the world creates a lot of shadows. This option puts a lot of strain on the graphics card, so if the game drops frames, you should lower this option;
Anti-aliasing - This option is responsible for loading distant objects, so if the game stutters when loading objects, it is worth disabling this option;
Resolution - If the game drops frames no matter where you are, whether in the base or during combat, you have to lower the resolution.
What should I do when GreedFall turs off on its own?
GreedFall has small system requirements, but if you experience a problem with the game right from the start or when it turns off right after you run it, you need to check a few settings. However, if the game only started to shut down at some point, we have compiled a list of tips that can help you:
- Download graphics card driver - Intel Graphics Driver DCH 26.20.100.7158. Thanks to these drivers, you will be able to run the game on UHD Graphics 620 or better.
- Install the game on another drive - according to some players, the game works much better and doesn't cause problems on SSD drives.
