Restoring a World | Voeld side quests Mass Effect: Andromeda Guide

Last update: 31 March 2017

How to unlock: Automatically after getting closer to one of the monoliths [Voeld].

Here you can find the guide for Restoring a World quest. This is one of the more important Heleus Assignments (side quests) in Mass Effect: Andromeda game. It is important because you must activate all of the monoliths and visit the Remnant Vault on Voeld. Turning off the blockade in the vault is a very important step in establishing an Andromeda Initiative outpost on Voeld.

Unlocking the quest

From the beginning you can see on Voeld map that there are three marked monoliths. You can get closer to any of them and, by doing that, you receive said quest in your journal.

Activate the monoliths

There are three monoliths on the planet and you can access them in any order. Near each one of them you must find glyphs. Additionally, in order to activate each of the monoliths you must solve a Remnant puzzle (or use a key to bypass it).

Monolith that is the farthest north requires you to find and scan three glyphs - Restoring a World | Voeld side quests - Voeld - Mass Effect: Andromeda Game Guide

Monolith that is the farthest north requires you to find and scan three glyphs. You can get to them quickly by following the yellow cables visible in the scanner's screen (be careful when you walk on the narrow Remnant constructions). The solution for the puzzle is presented in the picture above.

The south-west monolith may be guarded by an Eiroch - Restoring a World | Voeld side quests - Voeld - Mass Effect: Andromeda Game Guide

The south-west monolith may be guarded by an Eiroch. React quickly when the enemy appears. After the fights you should search for three glyphs (luckily, two of them are next to each other) and then try to solve the Remnant puzzle, the solution can be found in the picture above.

The south-east monolith is the most troublesome - Restoring a World | Voeld side quests - Voeld - Mass Effect: Andromeda Game Guide

The south-east monolith is the most troublesome. The terminal is in the cave below the ground and two of the three glyphs are outside of it. Their location is presented in the picture 1 and you can find them by using the scanner (the yellow "twisted" connection on the scanner). The Remnant puzzle is the usual one and its solution can be found in the second picture.

Examine the vault's entrance

The newly unlocked entrance to the vault is in the south-west part of the map. When you get there use the ramp that leads inside the vault and interact with the gravity well.

Disable the vault's blockade

Stand inside of the force field to restore the life support bar

When you are in the vault you should first use the terminal to activate the backup power supply. You can now start exploring the vault. A very important information is that during your examination of the crypt you have to deal with very low temperatures. Because of that it is very important to stop inside force fields that allows you to restore the life support bar. Some of them are activated in default, others requires you to activate the devices nearby. Stop inside the force fields not only when you travel to the center of the vault but also when you spend too much time in one location and you notice that your life support bar is almost depleted (in that case, go back to the last force field that you passed by).

Right after entering the vault you come across a fork - Restoring a World | Voeld side quests - Voeld - Mass Effect: Andromeda Game Guide

Right after entering the vault you come across a fork. The right path is the better choice. During the exploration you should perform precise jumps so you won't fall into abyss. Also, you should remember that you will have to fight "regular" Remnant. If you are looking for a challenge then you should go to the north corridor where you can find, e.g. Remnant Destroyer. If you manage to defeat it (remember that you work under the pressure of the low temperature) then you can get to the terminal and solve a puzzle (the picture above). This action grants you 2 RD Points.

Your goal is to reach the big platform in the west part of the vault. There you can find the terminal that can start the cleansing procedure.

Run from the cleansing field and leave the vault

Go east again and, just like before, make precise jumps so you wont waste precious seconds by falling into abyss - Restoring a World | Voeld side quests - Voeld - Mass Effect: Andromeda Game Guide

Go east again and, just like before, make precise jumps so you won't waste precious seconds by falling into abyss. New Remnant may stand in the team's way but eliminate only those bots that are the direct danger to you. You must get to the terminal presented in the picture above. Activating it stops the cleansing field from moving.

Warning - Completing this quest increases Voeld viability level by 40%. Thanks to that you can now establish an outpost on this planet. You can do this during Settling Voeld side quest.

Rewards for finishing the quest: XP, Andromeda Viability Points.
