How to unlock: Automatically during A Trail of Hope main quest [Tempest].
Here you can find the guide for Jaal Ama: Friend or Foe? quest. This is one of the side quests in Mass Effect: Andromeda game that belongs to the category called "Allies and relationships". This quest is connected with Jaal which joins your team during the first visit on planet Aya. Thanks to the cooperation with Jaal you can meet with Roekaar leader - Akksul.

Beginning the quest
This quest is automatically added to your journal after making enough progress in A Trail of Hope main quest, the moment after helping Angara and contacting with Evfra while on Tempest. Go the cabin where you can find Jaal and speak about Roekaar and their leader Akksul. The first step that must be made in order to get rid of Roekaar is to meet with Thaldyr on planet Havarl.
Find Thaldyr on Havarl
Land on Havarl, take Jaala with you and search for Thaldyr. She is rather close, north-east from Tempest landing spot. When you get closer to the marked place you learn that you must eliminate a small Kett group.
Enter Thaldyr's house
After the fight you can go to the building's entrance. Unlock the door in order to get inside and speak with wounded Thaldyr about Akksul.
Wait until Jaar sets up the meeting
The quest can be continued only after making enough progress in the main storyline. During Hunting the Archont main quest on Kadara you should receive an information about an e-mail. When you get on Tempest you should read it. From the e-mail you will learn that Moshae was able to organize the meeting with Akksul.
Speak with Moshae on Aya
Go back on Aya and go to the history museum. One of the doors leads to the place where you will meet with Moshae Sjefa and Akksul. You can reply to Akksul's accusations however you want because you can't change his attitude towards your character and Andromeda Initiative, this also has no impact on how the quest plays out. In the final part you receive a message from Suvi about disturbing events on Eos.
Use the vidcon on Tempest
Go back on Tempest, go to the vidcon and connect with the alarm signal from Eos. From the conversation with August Bradley you learn that Prodromos colony is in danger.
Go to Prodromos
Fly on Eos and land on the planet so you can arrive at Prodromos outpost. There, you must personally meet with August Bradley. You determine that the attack will be done by Roekaar.
Examine Blackrock Tande
Blackrock Tande is a small location on the west edge of Eos. You can go there without any problems because the radiation has disappeared. Your target destination is a small Roekaar camp near the road. When you arrive there you must defeat the enemies (you should quickly hide behind the rocks or other covers because there should be at least one sniper among Roekaar).
Examine the Roekaar camp
After the fights you should search the entire camp. You must find the big interactive console and interact with it. Thanks to that you learn about Roekaar's plan and you can set a trap.
Go to Site 2: Resilience
Site 2 is in the north-east corner of the map. When you get there you must get on the roof where you must activate the array. Before you do that you should save the game. Also, try to remember the localization of the most important areas in the base (supply chests, explosive objects etc.).
Defeat Roekaar
The first Roekaar group arrive after the activation of the array. You should use the element of surprise and attack them shortly after they leave the transporter - you can, for example use one of the rifles or throw some explosive surprises. The battle can be fought from the roof or on the ground, searching for opportunities to fight on a medium or short distance. Regardless of your tactic you should be prepared for the second transporter with enemies. If you miss it you can be attacked from a few different sides which will make escaping and regrouping harder.
Go to Site 1: Promise
After the fight you receive a message from Bradley from which you learn that Roekaar appeared in Site 1. Resupply in Site 2 and then go to Site 1. This battle is different from the previous one because here the enemies will know about your attack. Just like in the previous fight you can use long distance weapons or run among the buildings and rocks and eliminate Roekaar from a short distance. Keep an eye on the radar because you have to eliminate all enemies in the area. You should also watch out for the Hydra - avoid it's fire and use attacks that can weaken armor.
Warning - It should be mentioned that there is a forward station in Site 1. You can go to it if you need to regenerate your health or resupply.
Return to Bradley in Prodomos
After the battle you can meet with August Bradley in Prodromos base, Andromeda's outpost. You receive his thanks and Andromeda Viability Points.
Check your e-mails
This quest can be continued when you make enough progress in the main storyline. bedziesz mógl kontynuowac po tym jak dostatecznie awansujesz w glównym watku fabularnym. You will receive a new e-mail from Jaal. You must read it on the Tempest. From the e-mail you learn about a new message from Akksul.
Play Akksul's message in the Meeting Room
Go to the vidcon and interact with it. You can now watch Akksul's message. Again, you must wait for Akksul to make the next step. However, this is the end of the quest. Later in the game you receive a new e-mail from Jaal and by reading it you unlock a new Loyalty Mission called Jaal Ama Darav: Flesh and Blood.
Rewards for finishing the quest: XP, Andromeda Initiative Points, a new Loyalty Mission Jaal Ama Darav: Flesh and Blood unlocked.
