God of War: Two Trolls in Tyr's Vault - boss, how to beat? God of War Guide and Walkthrough

This page of the God of War game guide describes the duel with the two trolls (the Fire Troll and the Frost Troll) in Tyr's Vault. The following walkthrough explains the general rules of the battle, as well as tips on how to kill both trolls.

You have to engage into this battle when you complete the Black Rune main quest. The battle with the two trolls will begin after completing a trap puzzle in Tyr's Vault and picking up the Black Rune.

Although enemies have separate health bars, they will actually regenerate each other and balance their health. So you have to actually get rid of two health bars. Focusing on attacking only one troll will not accelerate the final victory.

The frost troll is immune to the Leviathan axe, and the fire troll is immune to the Blades of Chaos. This means that it is a good idea to swap your main weapon regularly, depending on which enemy Kratos is attacking at the time.

During battles, it's a good idea to watch out for stones on the ground - if they are destroyed, then the darkness will fall all around that obscures visibility.

Also, it's worth to keep your distance, attack one selected troll at a time with a weapon that hurts him and stay in constant motion in order not to give bosses a chance to launch successful attacks.
