On this page of the God of War game guide you will find the walkthrough of A Path to Jotunheim quest in which you have to explore the hidden chamber of the Temple of Tyr and find the item to travel between realms. This walkthrough explains, among other things, how to properly explore the secret chamber of the temple, how to avoid traps with spikes and blades, and where to find Tyr's secret item.

Realm travel back to Midgard and speak with Brok and Sindri

Go back to Midgard and speak with Brok and Sindri. The two brothers can help you - your new objective is to reach Tyr's hidden chamber.

Go outside and head to the place where you can enter Tyr's Vault. The entrance to the hidden chamber can be found a few steps ahead.

Explore Tyr s hidden chamber

Go inside and run forward. Throw the axe at the blue crystal and go into the dark room.

Move below the ball of light and go through the door. Go down the hallway and enter the chamber with two statues.

Approach the rune and try to rotate the temple - however, it is attached with two chains that have to be removed first.

Traps with spikes

Use the lever and go down. Head right - you will come across a corridor full of traps. You must use Leviathan to temporarily freeze the trap as shown in the picture above, then wait for a good moment to run under the spikes to avoid being crushed.

Open the red chest, pick up the red shard and throw it beneath the frozen floor, right next to another crushing trap. Jump on it when it gets lowered and proceed forward.

You reach the chains - break them. This spawns enemies. Watch out for a fire trap.

Defeat the monsters. After that the trap will collapse. You can now collect the second piece of the cipher to Niflheim (open the purple chest). Go back to the chamber with an elevator - the second wave of enemies can be avoided by running between the enemies.

Traps with blades

Head to the second passage. This corridor is filled with blade traps.

In order to solve this puzzle, it is required to throw the axe and freeze the mechanisms of successive blades (the first blade is shown in picture 1). Kratos must then summon the Leviathan to himself when the frozen blade is on par with the previous ones. The idea is that the blades will eventually travel "together", thus unlocking the passage for further advancement (picture 2). Of course, you have to run fast enough before the blades get close to Kratos.

Capture the Winds of Hel and place them in the sphere on the right, next to another set of traps. Proceed forward, capture the Winds and move them to the blade in front of you. Reach the other side.

Open another Purple chest (the third piece of the cipher to Niflheim), break the chains, defeat the enemies and then go back to the elevator.

Collect Tyr's mysterious object

Use the elevator to go up. Try to rotate the Temple again. This time Kratos will succeed. Get on the nearby wall and start climbing up.

You reach your destination - take Tyr's artifact to complete the mission! Time to go to the Realm between Realms!
