God of War: First Traveller - boss, how to beat? God of War Guide and Walkthrough

On this page of the God of War game guide you will find the description of the first duel with the Traveller that can be encountered during the Magic Chisel quest. This walkthrough explains how to avoid the Traveller's attacks and how to deal with this boss.

1. The first confrontation with the Traveller occurs during the completion of the Magic Chisel main quest started after taking part in the encounter between Mimir and the giant serpent. You will meet the Traveller on the way to the hammer.
2. The traveller is a strong and heavy armored opponent. The armor makes this opponent tough. Furthermore, the traveller has a shield on his back that is able to block attacks.
3. If a boss attack is successful, Kratos can receive serious damage. Optimally, you should try to prevent successful attacks from the opponent by using dodge or block.
4. The Traveller can be defeated more quickly by relying on counter attacks. However, it's also possible to play this confrontation slightly smoother by striking right after each missed boss attack or by weakening the enemy from a distance.
