This page of the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intermission guide shows the location of Indurate Staff, a weapon that can be equipped by Sonon.

Indurate Staff can be obtained while in progress of After Him story mission (the one where you pursue Zhijia who escapes from Shinra corporation soldiers)

Indurate Staff can be found in the location shown in the screenshot above (Shipping Facility Connecting Passage). You'll get access to it after leaving the train station area.

While pursuing Zhijie take a look at a purple chest which is found near garbage containers - open it, and Indurate Staff will be yours.

Indurate Staff has an additional Materia space compared to Sonon's basic weapon (Marshalist's Staff) and offers a bigger bonus to attack, but deals less magic damage (Magic Attack). Fighting Spirit, Indurate Staff special ability, increases damage dealt to a single target if its attacked for a longer while.
