The Crimson Corsair is one of the longer optional missions available in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The titular Crimson Corsair is a space pirate Sidon Ithano. This mission is about one of his journeys done for the Resistance. His mission is to steal a valuable flying unit from the First Order base. You will have to reach the destination with that machine and fly it out of enemy base.
Unlocking the mission
This mission is unlocked after completing the sixth chapter of the main story plot (Battle of Takodana). HOWEVER, in order to start it you must accumulate at least 40 golden LEGO bricks. Golden bricks can be obtained while completing main missions and uncovering their secrets or by looking for them while exploring the open maps in the game.
After collecting at least 40 bricks you must open the map of galaxy and select planet Kerroc which is related to the described side mission.
Exploration of area near the landing
Go to the right and switch to Quiggold once you reach the golden barricade. This character has heavy blaster with which you can destroy the golden objects from your surroundings.
Switch back to Sidon Ithano in the next area and destroy the nearby objects in order to reveal some interactive bricks. Use them on the entry door. You will construct a device with a handle. Start playing as Quiggold and use the handle to destroy the door.
Get rid of the stormtroopers and use the nearby construction bricks to create one more handle. Now, just as before, you must use Quiggold. Now select Pru Sweevant who has thermal detonators. Throw the detonator at the force field generator in order to sabotage it.
Now you can return to the construction bricks which you used before. This time you must construct an object on the right side. It will allow you to get rid of the charges. Defeat the stormtroopers who will reach the deck of the small transporter and select the stairs leading to the recently deactivated force field.
Keep moving to the right and eliminate the stormtroopers on your way. Once you reach the final area, select Pru Sweevant and throw the thermal detonator at the nearby silver pipes.
Select Sidon Ithano and position yourself under the flying droid with interactive handle. Hang on the handle in order to reach the upper left ledge. Walk through the balcony below and turn to the right the first time you have chance to. You will find another handle which will allow the controlled character to reach the right side of the explored area. Finish the journey through the upper balconies and then jump down.
After dealing with a new group of stormtroopers you must destroy the surrounding objects in order to reveal construction bricks. Use them to construct the object on the left side. This will allow you to reach as Sidon Ithano there.
Now you can go towards the lower right side of the area. Select Quiggold and hang on the handle in order to unlock further passage. Continue the journey to the place where the metal balcony ends. Destroy all the nearby objects and then select Pru Sweevant. Walk as him through the small hatch. Pru will reach the upper ledge where you must use the thermal detonator on the nearby silver object. This will activate the bridge through which all characters will be able to go to the next location.
Stealing the spaceship
Battles will start in the new area. At first your main objective will be to eliminate the regular stormtroopers.
One of the enemies will soon build a golden miniature TIE fighter. Switch to Quiggold and use the heavy blaster to destroy the enemy airship. Then the enemy stormtrooper will construct a silver TIE fighter. This time you must select Pro Sweevant and throw the thermal detonator at the enemy machine (in both cases you should help yourself with the manual aiming).
Notice that a new platform appeared on the left side. Sidon Ithano can use it to reach upper ledge. Walk to the right side of the ledge and hang on the upper handle in order to reach the neighboring ledge.
Start with destroying the surrounding objects in order to finish building the elevator and allowing your companions to reach that place. Then select the Quadnoculars and use it to scan one of the environmental objects. Once it is done, select Pru Sweevant and throw the thermal detonator at the silver object.
Jump to the lower level, position yourself under the recently used handle and use the Quadnoculars again. You must scan the right object in order to reveal its golden part. Reach there as Quiggold and destroy the object with the heavy blaster. After the interior silver mechanism is revealed, select Pru Sweevant and throw the thermal detonator.
New interactive bricks will appear in the area. Use them to build the left handle and pull it when playing as Quiggold. Finally select Pru Sweevant again and throw the detonator at the silver object. This will allow the pirates to finalize stealing the spaceship.
