How to unlock the main quest?
You'll unlock the Destroy Ganondorf quest after talking to Purah at Lookout Landing and completing these main quests:
After talking to Purah, go talk to Josha for some tips on how to find Ganondorf.
Before embarking on your search, stock up on food and arrows. Make sure you have plenty of Gloom-healing items. If you like ranged combat, you could use some Rocket Shields for some quick means to take off in the air.
How to find Ganondorf?
Jump into the Depths through the Hyrule Castle Chasm.
Next to the Like Like, there's a small passageway. Jump down and open the Paraglider.
Fly through the next hole next to more Like Likes.
Land on the rock and start climbing up.
Jump down and reach the edge of the rock.
The next passageway is to the left. Go straight ahead after passing through the door. After stepping on the bricks, you'll fall down. Move towards the small lanters.
A piece of a bridge will fall once you reach the next room. Climb it and Recall it back up. Head towards the lanters on the wall to the next room.
You'll encounter more Like Likes on the way. Keep going until you reach the lowest level. The game will let you know your companions cannot follow you any further.
Get on the bridge and jump to the next part of the dungeon. Now go down the tunnel.
Destroy the rocks blocking the way forward and keep going.
After going through the next door, turn right. Destroy the rocks blocking the way forward. Keep going down the tunnel until you reach the Imprisoning Chamber. Now jump down to Gloom's Lair.
Go through the final tunnel until you reach the ledge. Jump down to trigger the final boss fight.
How to defeat Ganondorf?
Before you can face Ganondorf, you must defeat The Demon King's Army in a battle consisting of several waves. Use your allies' skills to quickly deal with them.
After defeating the army, Ganondorf will face you himself. The easiest way to beat him is through Perfect Dodging and Flurry Rushing. After defeating Ganondorf's first form, he'll restore his health and summon four shadows.
The second phase is much more difficult. Try fighting the enemies from a distance. You can use Rocket Shields here to quickly ascend and fire plenty of arrows in slow motion. Bomb Flower and Shock Fruit arrows are especially useful here.
After defeating Ganondorf, you'll face off against the Demon Dragon. Attack the four weak spots on the dragon's back before destroying the one on its head.
