Ernest is one of the most famous writers in My Time at Sandrock. In the Person of Interest mission, you will have the opportunity to win his affection and answer some questions during an interview.

This page contains a walkthrough of the Person of Interest side quest, during which you'll be interviewed by Ernest, the local journalist, about Logan and his attempted train hijacking.

Starting the quest
You unlock this quest the day after you complete the Cover My Glass main quest. You'll find Ernest by the Wandering Y Ranch, not far east from The Blue Moon Saloon. Approaching him will let you listen to his conversation with Mabel.
Be Interviewed
Ernest will ask you to let him interview you about Logan and the attempted train hijacking. Agree to receive some questions. Ernest will let you know he only cares about the truth, which means you should always be honest with him.
The correct answers are:
- "Nope, never met him."
- "Tell Ernest what you know".
- "That's Haru, his oldest friend."
- "Wow, can I read your book?" - you'll receive 5 additional Relationship Points.
- "You write books?" - no effect.
These answers will reward you with 12 Relationship Points with Ernest, as well as a magazine with an article created on the basis of your interview in your mailbox the next day. If you lie or refuse to answer, you'll be rewarded with 5 Relationship Points and an unpleasant letter from Ernest.
After a while, Jasmine will join the conversation, unlocking a new dialogue option:
Ernest will soon wrap the conversation up, completing the quest.
