Yakmele are one of the calling cards of the residents at My Time at Sandrock. Although the creatures are usually peaceful, there are times when they cause damage. In Keeping Up with the Yakmels, you will help Cooper repair a fence that has been damaged by the animals.

This page contains a walkthrough of the Keeping Up with the Yakmels side quest, during which you lend a helping hand to Cooper and repair a damaged fence. The task is easy and the rewards for completing it are relatively high, so you shouldn't skip it.

Starting the quest
To start the quest, you need to head east of the Wandering Y Ranch (we've marked exact location on the screenshot above). Talk to Cooper, who, as it turns out, has a lot to say.
You can interrupt his long-winded speech, but we recommend waiting until the end, since it will earn you an additional 5 Relationship Points.
Get materials
It's time to gather the materials required to repair the fence. You will need the following:
- Bronze Bars x3 - can be crafted with the Furnace with 9 Copper Ore and 6 Tin Ore in total (both of these materials can be found in Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins).
- Thick Rope x2 - can be crafted with the Worktable with 8 Plant Fibers in total (you can obtain these by cutting down nearby shrubs).
Repair Fence
Once you have obtained the required materials, return to where you spoke with Cooper and repair the damaged fence.
Talk to Cooper
The task's final objective is to tell Cooper about the repairs you've made. You can find him at the Wandering Y Ranch, a few steps east of the fence. The man will appreciate your work and the quest will be complete
