In the world of My Time at Sandrock, it's a good idea to have a good sword and shield. In the quest Pedagogy Postponed Pen will ask you to create a set of weapons, which will certainly come in handy when fighting enemies.

This page contains a walkthrough for the Pedagogy Postponed side quest, during which you will craft the Stone Sword and Shield. Although the set is meant for Burgess, in the end, you will get to keep the equipment for yourself.

Quest start
To start the quest, head to the Church of the Light in the north of town, where you will find Pen and Burgess. The latter will inform you that he has lost his sword and shield. Pen will ask you to build a Stone Sword and Shield for his friend.
Build Stone Sword and Shield
Head to the workshop and use the Worktable. To craft the Stone Sword and Shield you need:
- Stone x8 - can be obtained from nearby rocks.
- Wooden Stick x2 - can be crafted with the Worktable for total of 18 Wood, which can be obtained by cutting down nearby bushes or processing Wood Scrap in the Recycler machine. These methods have a chance to net you complete Wooden Sticks.
- Copper Bars x2 - can be crafted with the Furnace using Copper Ore, which you will find in Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins or by digging through Copper Scraps.
After collecting the required materials, craft the items.
Talk to Pen
Return to Pen and report that the task has been completed. The man will explain that he managed to find Burgess's missing items, so you can keep the Stone Sword and Shield for yourself. The quest will be completed.
