You can't miss this one, as closing it is a part of the Reunion story quest (i.e. the second visit to Helheim). Kratos and Atreus must close the rift during the mission, which involves fighting incoming opponents for a certain period of time and protecting Atreus.
Once the Tear is closed, the activity is completed, and Hel to Pay Favour is unlocked, which involves finding and closing 5 different Tears.
