How to open a Sanctuary Barrier?
During the course of Valhalla DLC for God of War Ragnarok you'll visit many Sanctuaries, which are safe locations where you can save your progress and exit the game. Inside each Sanctuary, there are locked areas protected by barriers that cannot be opened in the initial stages of the expansion. These can be only unlocked after reaching a certain point in Valhalla DLC story, with the use of Sanctuary Barrier Keys. Each barrier only has to be unlocked once, and from that point on, this restricted area of the map is unlocked permanently.
How to get a Sanctuary Barrier Key?
Sanctuary Barrier Keys can be bought for Spirit Seals at a Tablet of Influence - these are found in the hub area from which you start every excursion into Valhalla. With each purchase of a Key, the price of the next one increases. Additionally, Keys can be obtained as rewards for completing quests or found in chests.
