There are following secrets and side activities to find and complete in Vanir Shrine region of Vanaheim.

Important Note - the Vanir Shrine is only accessible when traveling with Freya. If your current companion is Atreus, wait until the companion swap happens (enough progress in the main storyline).
Favour - Freya's Missing Peace
You should be able to unlock this task during your first visit to Vanaheim. As you explore Vanaheim with Freya, you should learn of the possibility of visiting her Wedding Shrine.
You need to travel south to Goddess Falls. After climbing to a higher ledge, you'll reach the area from the screenshot where Freya can unlock the passage further. This path leads to Vanir Shrine, a secret area.

Lore #1 - The Feast
Category: Lore Markers.
The item is in the central part of the secret temple.
Lore #2 - The Giant's Toes
Category: Treasure Map
The map lies on the ground next to the body. This is the central part of the temple.
After acquiring the map, you can reach the treasure in the River Delta region.
Lore #3 - Traitor
Category: Rune Reads.
You can find these runes on a wall in the southern part of the region.
Lore #4 - The Blessing of Two
Category: Lore Markers.
This rune board is found in the southern part of the region.
Lore #5 - The Auburn Crown
Category: Lore Markers.
This rune board is found in thenorthern part of the region.
Artifact - Hylli's Crest
Category: Family Crests
You can find it on the ground, next to the plants. This is the northern part of the region.
Legendary Chest
Reward: Rampage of the Furies - a light rune attack for the Blades of Chaos.
This Legendary Chest is in a locked room in the northern part of the temple. Take the path that leads to the top of the temple. There is a hitch behind a hole in the wall in the next location (screenshot above) - you can hurl the axe at it.
Return downstairs. The gate has been unlocked - once you defeat the enemies, the chest is yours.
Lore #6 - Abandoned
Category: Scrolls
This scroll is found on the ground next to a body. This is the western part of the temple - you can only get there after exploring the northern and southern parts of the region and reading the runes.
Lore #7 - The Ceremony
Category: Lore Markers.
The runes are at the western end of the region (the area where the cut-scene with Freya took place).
