Overclocks is an additional way to modify weapons in Deep Rock Galactic. There are currently three types of Overclocks in the game: Clean (green), Balanced (yellow) and Unstable (red). Clean Overclocks have only positive bonuses, but Balanced and Unstable ones will also have certain negative effects. It is worth noting here that Overclocks in Deep Rock Galactic can be acquired in many ways, and each main and auxiliary weapon can only be modified by one of them.

Overclocks - how to unlock them?

Overclocks in Deep Rock Galactic can be earned and obtained in many ways. You can receive them as a reward for completing one of the Deep Dive stages (one for each variant), as well as obtain them as a reward for completing Core Hunt missions. Another way to acquire Overclocks for weapons in Deep Rock Galactic is to receive them as a reward for advancing at The Forge (Master Level).

All obtained Overclocks appear in The Forge and must be created first, that is, before the player can use them. The cost of creating Overclocks varies, depending on the modification variant, the weapon, and the character to which the weapon is assigned. All Overclocks that are available in Deep Rock Galactic can be crafted for a certain amount of credits and additional resources. A modification produced in this way can be implemented in the appropriate equipment.

Overclocks - how to use them?

Once you have crafted Overclocks in The Forge, you will be finally able to add them to the appropriate weapons. All Overclocks can be selected in the equipment terminal, which is located on the first level of the space rig, right next to the mission terminal.

The slot responsible for the Overclocks modification is located at the bottom of the table with available modifications. Unlike normal weapon modifications that need to be unlocked, the Overclocks slot is available from the very beginning.
