Elimination is one of the types of missions available in Deep Rock Galactic. Elimination is the last mission type the player can unlock after completing one of the Assignment Missions. The main goal of each Elimination in Deep Rock Galactic is to find and eliminate a certain number of extremely dangerous and armored Dreadnoughts. The cocoons of this alien species are usually located in the deeper parts of the caves. This gives the player enough time to complete a side objective.
Once the Elimination mission begins, try to locate the cocoons using the scanner (Tab key). Dreadnought cocoons are easy to spot and appear as large-sized red dots. With information on the location of the alien cocoons, it's much easier to plan an exploration of the underground complex.
Alien cocoons are usually placed on walls and ceilings, but can also emerge from the ground. They are surrounded by blue organic veins. The cocoons themselves emit a well-audible heartbeat sound so it is easy to notice that you're approaching the target.
The alien cocoons can be safely approached, but even the slightest amount of damage can break the delicate membrane and release a real beast that will immediately throw itself to attack.
