Square Lock Boxes are unique locked containers encountered in a few locations around Castle. Initially, you can't open them, but interacting with them marks them on your map.

To open these containers, you need Cubic Device, and the earliest you can get it is Chapter 9. To be exact, you need to explore the corridor connecting Grand Hall with Armory. In this location, you'll find a large chest containing the Cubic Device.

Pay attention to the front of the cube and make the cutouts in the shape of triangles, rectangles and semicircles match those of the Lock Box. You can rotate the cube by moving the left analog stick and pressing L1/LB, R1/RB (on a gamepad). Fortunately, in case you fail, you can repeat the attempt infinitely.
