Reaching the Dining Hall - Chapter 9

The Dining Hall is one of the rooms visited in Chapter 9. It's adjacent to the Grand Hall. You must solve a puzzle here to open the Caged Serpent Statue and acquire a quest item.

Examining two paintings in the Dining Hall

The puzzle involves having Ashley and Leon sit down on the correct chairs. You'll find hints on where to sit down on the paintings found here.

Above we've pictured the left painting - it's a hint on where Ashley should sit (woman).

Above we've pictured the right painting - it's a hint on where Leon should sit (man).

Correct chairs for Leon and Ashley

We've pictured Ashley's chair above - it's by a table a bit farther away from the paintings. Look at items such as the bowl, the glass and the number of cutlery.

Press the right analog stick (R3) to command Ashley to take a seat.

We've pictured Leon's chair above - this seat is a bit closer to the paintings. Look at items such as the bottle and the glass, the bowl with a bread roll and the number of cutlery.

Press the Interact button to have Leon sit down.

Use the bell - Ashley will do the same.

Taking the Serpent Head

If you've chosen the correct seats, the cage will now open. Approach it and take the Serpent Head - one of the three items you need to place on the Grand Hall statue.
