Here you will find tips on how to avoid the Clock Tower traps in chapter 12 of Resident Evil 4 Remake. The following walkthrough explains how to deal with stone statues spitting fire and large iron balls rolling down stairs. Avoiding traps will bring you closer to reaching the lair of the boss Salazar in the Castle.
Reaching the Clock Tower
The Clock Tower is one of the last locations explored in the Castle region in RE4 Remake. You have to explore it in chapter 12 - Leon must use the train in the main part of the castle. Reaching the Clock Tower is one of the points of no return.

The hero's task is to climb the tower's floors and, in addition to enemies, you must watch out for 2 types of traps described below. They can kill or seriously injure Leon.
Flames
The first type of traps are rotating stone statues that spit fire. They can easily set Leon on fire and deplete a lot of health or even kill you.
Stand outside the range of the statue. Shoot the enemies approaching you to slow them down - there is a good chance that they will be set on fire and die more easily.
The plan of action is to run behind the flames of the rotating statue. The moment it finishes turning it will stop releasing fire for a while. By then you should be in a safe place to climb the next ledge or run further.
Iron Balls
The second type of traps are large iron balls rolling down twisted staircases. They are dropped by the Zealot standing next to a large hole in the ceiling at the top of the staircase.
Avoiding the traps is simple - when climbing, stop on the side balconies and wait for the ball to roll past Leon.
Just as when you were avoiding flames, you can deliberately shoot at enemies and stop them on the stairs. The ball can then hit them.
Once you reach the top, kill the opponent operating the lever.
Leon can now pull the lever and kill enemies from the lower parts of the stairs. For killing at least 5 of them this way, you will unlock the Strrrike! challenge worth 300CP.
