As you progress through Resident Evil 4 Remake, you can increase your chances of survival by using Body Armor. This guide page tells you where and when you can buy armor, as well as how to repair armor back to 100%.
Obtaining Body Armor
You can find armor in Resident Evil 4 Remake , but you must first advance to chapter 8. Visit the first merchant in this chapter, and he will offer Body Armor for 18,000 coins. It offers:
- bullet protection;
- blast protection;
- additional protection in close combat (reduces the damage received).
Repairing armor
Body Armor is not indestructible. It gets gradually damaged by successful enemy attacks.
Armor status is visible in the lower right corner, next to the health bar. A red cross out indicates that it is broken.
You can repair the armor at the merchant - go to the Tune Up tab and then to Body Armor. This, unfortunately, costs a lot. One repair can cost you up to several thousand coins. We recommend repairing armor before boss fights.
