Main room. You can meet with Copperhead here, but only after you've been to The Pickled Eel inn (03).
Back room. You will find a pet named Nikki here (conversion of 5% of Grazes into Hits; makes enemy attacks become Grazes more often; the team gets a bonus to accuracy in melee combat). You can take a Taru Turu drug from a nearby bin.
Main area. Important - Make sure not to talk to Copperhead too soon if you want to have conversations with other characters from the inn. Talking to Copperhead results in Zulka showing up - you may be attacked by her and by all other guests of the inn (except for Copperhead) if you'll choose wrong dialogue options. The tavernkeeper sells various kinds of meet, blood, sails for the ship and a pet. There's a hidden stash in the area with some minor loot.
Side room. You will find a pet here - a cat named Bonnie (converting 5% of enemy hits into grazes, some enemy attacks will end up being a graze instead of a normal hit, some critical attacks will be converted into standard ones).
Ship. You will encounter a large group of enemies here, including Fampyrs, Alguls, Skeletons and Risen. You should focus on the Fampyrs and watch out for the shooters stationed at the top of the ship.
Passageway to the crypt.
Locked passage. The door has a level 18 lock, you can also wait for it to be unlocked. Behind the door you'll encounter a large group of enemies.
Passageway to Glowing Outcrop. In order to open the passage you must light two nearby braziers. This requires obtaining two vials of fampyr blood - you will get them from the Quartermaster Hark (09) and from Runemaster Kastor (11).
Quartermaster's Chamber. You will meet Quartermaster Hark and his entourage here. Focus on the quartermaster and deal with his allies once he's dead. Check the quartermarter's corpse to obtain the fampyr blood. It's one of the items needed to unlock the passage to the Glowing Outcrop (08). You'll also find a unique plate armor and a unique helmet. Check the nearby sarcophagus to find some smaller loot.
Secret chamber. There's a hidden switch on the hall (use the character with high Perception). Inside the room you'll find a sarcophagus with a unique sword.
Laboratory. You will meet Kastor here along with other enemies. Defeating Kastor allows you to find the vial of fampyr's blood next to his body. It's one of the items needed to unlock the passage to the Glowing Outcrop (08). You can also pick up a scroll from the table.
Throne. Approaching Menzzago automatically triggers a conversation with him. It doesn't really matter which dialogue options you'll choose - all of them lead to combat. Menzzago is a very powerful opponent and he's also accompanied by Fampyrs and Alguls - make sure to equip your team properly before the battle. Check Menzzago's corpse after you've won - you'll find two very powerful artifacts. You can also take interest in the red sphere and destroy it or remain it intact (this influences the ending of "A Paradise of the Mind" side quest).

The map above depicts Splintered Reef available in Pillars of Eternity 2 Deadfire. This place is divided into four locations - Boathouse, The Pickled Eel inn, Sea-Lashed Crypt and Glowing Outcrop. Here, you can do A Paradise of the Mind quest - this mission is recommended for a party at level 16 or above (during it you will have to face powerful enemies).

Important places in Splintered Reef

1. Main room. You can meet with Copperhead here, but only after you have talked with him in The Pickled Eel inn (M44,3).

2. Back room. You will find a pet named Nikki (turns 5% of Grazes into Hits; makes enemy attacks become Grazes more often; the party gets a bonus to accuracy in melee combat). You can take a Taru Turu drug from a nearby basket.

3. Main area. Note - don't speak with Copperhead if you want to interact with the inn's guests. Talking to him results in Zulka showing up - you may be attacked by her and by all other guests of the inn (except for Copperhead) if you'll choose wrong dialogue options.

The tavernkeeper sells various kinds of meet, blood but the most interesting are Gulskin sails (-5m combat speed, +30 sail health) for the ship and Grave Hound Pup pet (+10% to damage against Vessels, party receives less Corrode damage). Remember that after killing the tavernkeeper you won't be able to get these items and the pet.

There's a hidden stash in the area with Velune and golden scellings as well as a chest with a potion of improved arcane reflection.

Speak with Copperhead to start A Paradise of the Mind quest - after that Zulka and her group will enter the inn. She, and every guest of the inn, turns hostile towards you which means that you will have to face a dozen of enemies.

4. Side room. You will find a pet here - a cat named Bonnie (converting 5% of enemy Hits into Grazes, some enemy attacks will end up being a Graze instead of a normal Hit, some critical attacks will be converted into standard ones).

8. Passageway to Glowing Outcrop. In order to open the passage, you must light two nearby braziers. This requires two vials of fampyr blood - you will get them from the Quartermaster Harka (M44,9) and from Runemaster Kastor (M44,11). Approach each of the braziers and pour the blood into them.

9. Quartermaster's Chamber. You will meet Quartermaster Harka and her entourage here. Focus on the Quartermaster and deal with her allies once she's dead. Check the Quartermaster's corpse to obtain a vial of fampyr blood. It's one of the items needed to unlock the passage to the Glowing Outcrop (M44,8). You'll also find a unique Blackened plate armor and a unique Blackened plate helm. Check the nearby sarcophagus to find a grenade and golden oble.

10. Secret chamber. There's a hidden switch on the wall (use a character with high Perception). Inside the room you'll find a sarcophagus with Voidwheel, a unique sword.

11. Laboratory. You will meet Runemaster Kastor here along with other enemies. Defeating Kastor allows you to find a vial of fampyr blood (loot his body). It's one of the items needed to unlock the passage to the Glowing Outcrop (M44,8). You can also pick up a scroll of minor healing from the table.

12. Throne. Approaching Menzzago automatically triggers a conversation with him. It doesn't really matter which dialogue options you choose - all of them lead to a fight. Menzzago is a very powerful opponent and he's also accompanied by Fampyrs and Alguls - make sure to equip your party properly before the battle. Check Menzzago's corpse after you've won - you'll find Spider Silk Robe and Amaliorra, a legendary scepter.

The red orb, present in this location, is very important - you can either destroy it or leave it be (this impacts A Paradise of the Mind quest).

  1. Destroy it - Copperhead can join your crew. He also gives you a unique Copperhead's Helm (-20% Damage taken from spells, -8 Accuracy with spells). However, this decision means that every citizen on the island is dead.
  2. Don't destroy it - the citizens survive (although they are still under the spell). Copperhead won't join your crew but he gives you Corroded Bronze Horn Figurine (summons a Corrupted Adra Animat).

More information can be found on the page dedicated to A Paradise of the Mind quest.
