On this page of the Lost Judgment guide, we explain in detail how to befriend the cats in the game. We explain what feline encounters and Pawpularity are. At the end of the page, you will find a list of gifts from feline friends.
Feline encounters will be unlocked during The Forbidden Taste side case. From this point on, Yagami will be able to interact with the cats he encounters.
When you encounter a cat for the first time, you must choose 1 out of the 3 names suggested by the game. During the next interactions with a particular cat, you will have to call it by the name you gave it earlier, or else Yagami will be scratched.
When interacting with a group of animals, the cat that approaches Yagami will be random. If you want to interact with a particular group of cats again, you'll have to go to the nearest store or restaurant or get into a street fight. Each successful interaction with the cat is rewarded with a small amount of SP.
The fastest way to make friends with a cat is to feed it any cat food 2 times. When you fill up the friendship bar with a particular cat, you will receive a gift from it. Friendly cats will occasionally visit your office or leave gifts in your mailbox.
Cat food - where to buy?
Cat food is available:
- In all Poppo stores (except the little store at the station);
- in Onodera's Wares;
- in Deco Rush.
Cats - where to find them?
When you unlock cat encounters, cat-shaped icons will appear on the city map. Each city has a certain number of cats.
Ijincho:
- 4 cats are next to the homeless camp;
- 3 cats are in the Chinatown district.
Kamurocho:
- 3 cats are in New Serena alley.
Pawpularity
Pawpularity represents your friendship with the cats. The maximum level of Pawpularity in Ijincho is 7, while in Kamurocho it is 3 - equal to the number of cats available in the city. After reaching the next level of Pawpularity, or befriending a new cat, Yagami will receive a gift. The next gift from the same cat will be a regular item of lesser value.
