During the Hitman 3 game, you will often find closed doors, windows, grilles, or ventilation shafts. Fortunately, Agent 47 can open ordinary and electronic locks in several different ways.
Using the right key or pass is the only "legal" way to open a locked room, but it requires the Player to find the right item, and these can sometimes be well hidden - in a social room or the possession of one of the staff or guards.
Lockpick Mk III
You will unlock the Lockpick Mk III after reaching mastery level 2 on the Dartmoor map (Death in the Family mission). Once you unlock it, you'll be able to use this tool on the rest of the maps in Hitman 3.
Using Lockpick Mk III is very simple. Just walk up to the locked door, press the button responsible for using the item, and select the lockpick from the list. Once you accept the choice, Agent 47 will immediately open the door. It should be noted that opening locks with a lockpick is a forbidden action, so watch out for nearby NPCs.
Electronic Key Hacker Mk III
You will unlock Electronic Key Hacker Mk III after reaching level 2 mastery on the Chongqing map (End Of An Era mission). Once you unlock it, you'll be able to use this tool on the rest of the maps in Hitman 3.
An electronic key is used in the same way as a lockpick. All you have to do is approach a closed door with a Keycard Reader, press the button responsible for using the item, and select Electronic Key Hacker Mk III from the list. Once you accept the choice, Agent 47 will immediately open the door. Opening locks with an electronic key also counts as an forbidden action.
On every map of the Hitman 3 game, you will find at least one crowbar that you can use to open locked doors and fuse cabinets. Same as with a lock pick or an electronic key, select a crowbar from the list of available tools, and Agent 47 will immediately open the locked door. Opening locks with a crowbar also counts as forbidden action.
With various tools, such as a screwdriver, or hard objects, such as a nail, you can balance the locks of closed air shaft grilles or cabinets. In the cabinets, you will often find various useful items like fuses, grenades, and items related to the story.
A camera is a new gadget in Agent 47's basic equipment. By scanning the electronic locks of doors or ventilation shaft grilles, you can hack them and open them.
