Unlocking the quest
You can start this mission after cleansing the Shiroyama Shrine. This can happen while completing Chapter 2. A quest marker should automatically appear on the map.
The quest giver is the Girl Searching for Umbrella. You will find her at the entrance to the Tsukinami Restricted Area.
Capture the karakasa-kozo
Enter the restricted area and begin searching it. After spotting the karakasa-kozo, approaching the yokai from behind will allow you to hold down the button to absorb it and obtain magatama.
Retrieve the umbrella
You will find the umbrella on the ground. In order to complete this very short task, you just need to pick it up and bring it to the ghost who gave you the quest.
As you progress through the game, more karakasa-kozo and other yokai markers will appear on the map. You can reach them in order to absorb them and obtain more magatama.
