Unlocking the quest
This quest should appear on the world map after completing the previous mission from this questline - Bloodthirsty Blossoms: Mitake. The quest marker will appear in the south-eastern area of the map. You need to cleanse the Akitsu Shrine to reach it.
The journal claims the quest giver is the Gardener, but to start the mission you must interact with the third corrupt tree indicated on the map.
Defeat all enemies
Just like in the previous quest you must approach the big red tree and examine it. This starts the quest and summons Visitors nearby.
The battle may turn out to be quite difficult, as you'll have to face several shears-wielding Kuchisake who charge towards you and execute powerful melee strikes. We recommend charging up your resonance meter before the battle and then activating Wire In to weaken the elite enemies. You can also use stun talismans to stop enemies dead in their tracks and rip out their cores from behind, or exposure talismans to make revealing cores easier.
Cleanse the cherry blossom tree
After the battle interact with the tree again and remove its hand seal. This causes several white trees to appear and completes the quest.
