Catching a Craterous Seer in The Pale Reach DLC to Dredge is a process that requires certain steps that are not that plainly described or evident. On this page of our guide, we show where to get the fishing net needed for the fishing and where to look for this Aberration.

Searching for Craterous Seer

1. Craterous Seer is an Aberration of Stargazer species that represent the Ice category. It is possible to catch this specimen in the new arctic region introduced by The Pale Reach DLC. Craterous Seers are easily recognized because of their single, large eye.
2. Catching the Craterous Seer is an objective of a side Figure in White quest, which we describe in the DLC Quests page of the guide. Additionally, catching this specimen will bring you closer to collecting 100% of all new fish appearing in the expansion (this action is also rewarded with a trophy).

Catching the aberration with Trawl Net

1. We recommend waiting with catching Craterous Seer until Under the Ice story quest is completed - we describe it in detail on the DLC Quests page of the guide.
2. One of the rewards for completing this mission is a large fishing net - Radiant Trawl Net. Equip it on your ship.
3. Radiant Trawl Nets allow you to catch, among others, creatures from the Ice group. Their additional advantage is their huge capacity, as they have as many as 49 slots. Craterous Seer requires 2x2 slots of free space in the fishing net.

1. You can plant the net around the entire Pale Reach archipelago and don't have to stay in any one specific place. We managed to catch Craterous Seer, among others, near Bleak Pontoon and Southern Locus. Make sure you have submerged the nets in water after selecting them from the drop-down menu.
2. You have to count on luck and that instead of the standard Stargazer specimen, you will catch the Craterous Seer Aberration. If you were successful, a message about a new species will appear (example in screenshots).
3. You can deliver Craterous Seer to Hooded Figure NPC to complete Figure in White side mission and receive a reward in form of a skill book.
