You can start the side quest in the northern part of the Fractured Peaks region. The quest marker can appear north of the Cathedral of Light, next to the Forsaken Quarry dungeon.

Reading the note

You must pick up the Discarded Note. It contains a puzzle. Head north-east to reach the spring.

Solving the puzzle - using the right emote

You need the Wait emote to solve the puzzle. The problem is that it's not on the list of default ready-to-use emotes.

Open the emotes menu - the E key on the keyboard or up on the d-pad.

To add a new emote, select Customize.

Find the Wait emote and assign it to one of the fields in the emote menu. Save changes.

From now on, you can select the Wait emote from the radial menu.

Use the correct emote next to the spring and then interact with the treasure chest. This will complete the quest.
