Destroying the second transformer | Mission 8 - Ratte Factory Sniper Elite III Guide

The second transformer is Southwards of here (point 9 on the map). Start by taking one of the bridges (points 3 on the map) that lead up to the next part of the factory. Your best choice is the East-most one. After you have reached the next location, you can resume the elimination of the enemy forces (take advantage of the fact that the machinery are working and use them to drown out the gunfires, or go for melee attacks), or avoid them. In the case of the latter, it is a good idea to use the side passages located right next to the chasm (points 4 on the map).
As you cross this location, try to reach the balconies above and make it over to the South-Western room. It is being guarded by several enemies but, if you deal with them, you will be able to explore the room and obtain the second schematic for the advanced weapon (point 8 on the map). As a matter of fact, it is not the only collectible that you can find in this part of the factory, because there also is a War Diary - Vahlen's Journal: Pointing the Blame; green point 4 on the map and a collectible card (green point 5 on the map).
Do not haste too much to approach the second transformer, because you may be spotted by enemies that occupy the area to the South of it. First of all, eliminate those of the enemies that patrol the nearby bridges (points 3 on the map). Just like before, remember not to sprint and move around only while crouching.
Just like in the case of the first transformer, you do not need to use any explosives. The only thing that you need to do is take a shot at the red explosive barrel, with any weapon (your best choice is the suppressed one). It is necessary that you keep a safe distance, to prevent taking unnecessary damage.
Note - right after you blow up the second transformer, take a good cover, because one, or several enemies may be lured here, by the explosion.
